Music Lessons - Guitar, Piano, Ukulele & Bass

Private Lessons Info & Pricing

I offer mobile music lessons (travelling to the student's home) teaching private or group lessons for guitar, piano, ukulele, electric and acoustic bass and tutoring in music theory. Music Lessons are $35 for 30 minutes for mobile lessons in the Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley and Pittsburg area. For Concord there's a $5 travel expense. For Walnut Creek there's a $10 travel expense.

For group lessons my rate is the same as mentioned above but each student gets to split the price evenly among how many students are in the group lesson. For example, a 30 minute lesson in Walnut Creek is $50. For a group lesson of two students each student will only have to pay $25 each.

I've been teaching guitar and piano lessons for over fifteen years. I'm also a certified guitar teacher through the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC). Through that organization my guitar students can participate in monthly recitals or the Certificate of Merit program (which looks great on school resumes). I'm still in the process of becoming certified through MTAC for piano. I have completed the Certificate of Merit program level 8 in piano though and have received their senior medallion in 2008.

I also teach as a vendor for the charter schools "Visions in Education" and "Vista Oaks Charter School". I have had an FBI & DOJ background check to be a vendor for these charter schools. Students of these schools can get school credit and use school funds for the music lessons.

I teach any style of music the student is willing to learn. The styles I've specialized in though are jazz, blues and classical. I'm just as comfortable the teaching any popular style like rock and country music. I also teach Christian worship music for those looking for help in playing on their Church's worship team or being able to lead worship for their Church.
